AttorneyGuide.com needs you, the people of Nevada, to discuss the experiences you’ve had with local attorneys and law firms.
Typically, people looking to hire an attorney find themselves under a good deal of stress. The attorneys they hire either help alleviate this stress or make it worse. Please use the AttorneyGuide.com forum to discuss the good and bad experiences you’ve had with attorneys from Reno or Las Vegas or any other city in the state of Nevada.
A basic outline of the kind information we’d like to see follows:
- Attorney name
- City where the attorney practices
- Type(s) of cases the attorney handles
- A description of the experience — good or bad — you’ve had with the attorney, including whether or not you’d recommend them
AttorneyGuide.com maintains a database of Nevada attorneys who have a proven track record of honesty and integrity. Your post will help us in our ethical certification process and also guide others to make informed choices when hiring an attorney.
To post on the forum, you must create an account, but we’ll never share, spam, or sell your e-mail address with any third party. In short, ATTORNEYGUIDE.COM WILL KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION100% CONFIDENTIAL. Moreover, when commenting or posting, your name will not be listed unless you chose to do so.

The Nevada Supreme Court has suspended two more attorneys from practicing within the state. Robert Weatherford had pleaded twice to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to up to 60 months in prison. Susana Ragos Chung plead guilty for submitting false and fraudulent claims for con-men who staged auto accidents.
Please, check out your attorney with us before you give them a penny. You need to have an honest and trustworthy attorney. These are another 2 examples of attorneys that would be unable to serve you. Allow us to point you in the right direction, for whatever legal issue you’re dealing with. I can’t tell you enough times how important that is. We’ll keep you sharing these stories with you until the legal community realizes that they are being held accountable for their actions. You have a choice in who you choose to represent you, don’t ever forget that!

This is a verified review of the Haines and Krieger law firm in Las Vegas, NV.
On 22 October 2010, I made an appointment with Haines and Krieger Law Office for a Loan Modification Consultation. After the appointment I hired the Law Firm to represent me for a loan modification. This Law Firm has over 20 years experience almost exclusively helping consumers like me and they have helped tens of thousands of people with foreclosure or other financial-related issues. Unfortunately there has been a change of events that say otherwise about this Law Firm. These lawyers believe that clients retain them strictly because of their legal skills and insights. As a client I assumed that their law office had the requisite excellent level of skill that I expected from the start. Whenever I made a call to the office I never got directly thru to speak with someone, it was always a recorded message that I left, and it was rare that I got a call back the same day. As a client I felt like I had to chase someone down just to find out what was going on with my case. The whole time that I’ve been with the firm as a client I never met a lawyer until a week ago. Should you investigate this case you will see that I have had over ten people assigned to my case at one time or another and none of them seem to know what the hell they were doing, maybe it’s because they were paralegals instead of lawyers! I raised this question up multiple times to a lawyer with the firm whom I had the pleasure of meeting for 5mins after me complaining several times. Now after a year of this I got a call from the office saying that my house was sold today! They never offered to mediate for me even after I told them I wanted to sit down and do so. All the accusation that I mention above are true and I kept all the email traffic from beginning to present to back me up! No one deserves to be treated and misrepresent with the banks like the way I have with this Law Firm. They even had my sell date showing 1 Jan 2011 even after I raised the question to them multiple times that this is not correct. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my situation with Haines ad Krieger. As of right now I want to explorer all my legal options as a former client with them and as a retired military veteran who is seeking to stay in his home.

Here’s another story about a Las Vegas Lawyer being disbarred for violating the bar rules. According to Cy Ryan at the Las Vegas Sun, Jeanne Winkler has been disbarred for borrowing $15,000 from a client. Additionally, she took $230,000 from a client’s account and invested it in some ventures that didn’t work out. This is in direct violation of the bar rules also. See the article here: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/nov/17/las-vegas-lawyer-disbarred-stealing-money-clients/

Just so everyone knows, anytime we get a review of a lawyer, we reach out to the person that submitted the review and ask them to confirm their identity. That’s all we do. We do not show bias towards anyone. Recently I received a glowing review of an attorney that was in contrast to a review that I had posted based on public information. Just like all the other reviews, I reached out to the person and asked them to confirm their identity. I never heard back and so I took their review off. Plain and simple. If anyone thinks we aren’t fair in our assessments, that is incorrect. I look forward to more of your reviews. Thanks for helping your community.
