About Marta L. Presti

Since graduating from Indiana University School of Law, cum laude, in 1976, Marta has practiced primarily in the area of family law. After serving as staff attorney with the Legal Services Organization of Indiana, she became the director of the Legal Aid Society of Evansville and then worked with the Women's Legal Clinic in Highland, Indiana.

Marta has taught legal research at both the University of Evansville, and at Purdue University. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Consumer Credit Counseling Service, the Coalition for Battered Women, and the Southwestern Indiana Civil Liberties Union. She has authored articles and pamphlets on various family law topics and has been a speaker at seminars and before many civic groups. She is currently a member of the Nevada State Bar Association, and the Family Law Section, the Washoe County Bar Association and the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association. She is currently a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Collaborative Professionals of Nevada.

Marta has two reported decisions in Nevada: Wallace v. Wallace, 112 Nev. 1015 (1996) and Figliuzzi v. District Court, 111 Nev. 338 (1995).
